I modified the gadget here and there for myself and still use it on my living room laptop. Much better than going through dozens of emails... don't know what the current status is.

If you reread the whole topic you'll also find a http://www.hekkers.net/files/gadget.txt mentioned.
It's still there. That's the one that contains some of my modifications like displaying time instead of date.
