Pronto TSU9600 new firmware version 4.0.17

Post by Digit »

The new firmware was released yesterday, version 4.0.17.

The major new features are:

1.
Support of the rotary wheel - This means that now ProntoScript modules can be developed that allow using the rotary wheel for e.g. scrolling through music lists.

2.
Support of fetching images over IP - Now its possible to create ProntoScript modules that show e.g. album art or images from a server. Also stretching of the image is possible allowing dynamical resizing.

3.
Support of IP cameras (JPEG images) - A first module (Panasonic BB-HCM511) is now available at the ProntoScript website.

Let's try it out!
Hopefully the my Axis camera's will work on this firmware and the DNS problems are gone.
That would be great. Some minor bugs reported in the new firmware, but I think no big deal yet.
Lets hope the best!
Thanks Erik for placing the files.
regards Pieter

axis wont be an issue, since its jpeg images. So that should be merely "finding" a proper piece of code.

we are all too eager for new stuff, we drop the current project.. and go to the "hot" project. Then we go back to the old one.
