Use lirc config file to create IRTrans codes?

Post by Digit »

Hi,

Does anyone know a way to create IRTrans codes based on a lirc config file ??

I found this lirc config file which matches my remote. But how do i create IR codes from this that can be stored in IRTrans .rem files (standard, raw or ccf)? Has anyone done that before, and how?

I don't know where to begin :(

Maybe later :)
Let's first get some codes so i don't have to use 3 remotes; UPC and 2 x Samsung...

Fixed it. Down to 1 remote control again, my Pronto.

I did it the "hard" way, as in learning all the RC buttons with PEP (ProntoEdit Professional) and then copy/paste to a IRTrans .rem file.
The Pronto sends commands (Device & Button code) to my domotica system by XMLRPC and IRTrans takes care of the rest.
Getting the right IR codes wasn't done the way I wanted to do this cause it involves quite some manual labor, but hey, sometimes it's the result that counts... :)
