Jacco,

The best system is Merten..
The price is also the best twice the price of ACT and Duwi.

Systems that also works well
-Aeon-labs
-Duwi
-ACT
-Everspring
-Qees
and some others..

see my blog for some reviews

I am thinking of buying the Tricklestar USB Adapter or the Aeon-Labs USB Z-Stick.
Is this a good choice and what do you recommand.

Both works fine with Homeseer.
I know the Aeon well. This is also the Homeseer's choice
You can also upgrade the firmware of the Aeon when new functions are available

I own both.

I recommend the Aeon. The new ones are firmware upgradeable, and most applications work with Aeon because of the include function. (Tricklestar has no include button.)

Tricklestar is good, Aeon is just better. :-)

I have now an z-wave stick from AeonLabs and I installed it on my windows 2003 server.
Now in homeseer it says.

29-9-2010 16:53:04 Z-Wave Found 0 Z-Wave nodes
29-9-2010 16:53:04 Z-Wave Z-Wave interface version: 5
29-9-2010 16:53:04 Z-Wave Z-Wave interface node ID: 1
29-9-2010 16:53:04 Error (Init/Sync) Initializing Z-Wave Interface: Interface version is 5, which is unsupported.

Version is not supported.

What can I do.

I read here in this topic about different z-wave systems. I always thought thay you could use switches and controllers from different manufactures in 1 home system.
So for instand, I use Homeseer, I want to buy a Aeon Labs stick and use the merten switches and some qees switches with duwi controllers in 1 system. Would this work or not?

Basic functionality will work. But there might be extra functionality that doesn't work. Merten have some of that.

If you are going to use merten hardware the look at the merten pc interface.
Merten USB interface is included with zwave software for easy config.

@Jacco,
Try the Com port driver in homeseer.
You can also try to upgrade the USB driver software.

@Tane, I see you recommend the merten interface. I also read very good reviews about de Aeon-Labs. What is de difference between these two, and what can do merten more that makes his price right?

Aeon works fine and it's one of the best.

Merten interface is easy to use with Merten zwave devices. This is because of the included software.
Merten software will not work with other zwave PC interfaces.

It's a big challenge to configure the Merten battery powered devices with Aeon labs.

I have update homeseer to 2.4.xx and now it is working, only I don't see the status of the AN158 also I can't see the meter information.
