New connected learning thermostat Nest

Hello everybody,

I have been lurking on the forums for a long time searching for all the parts and info for my new home setup. I found this website about a new learning thermostat. http://www.nest.com Does anyone know more about this? to me as a newby in the domotica world it sounds good and i like the zigbee and wifi connection options.

What are your thoughts about this? any pros or cons about using this device in a domotica controlled home?

Pretty much a cool looking device with iphone/ipod connectivity for your thermostat.

If only it could control modulating heaters like we have in the Netherlands, beside this it has a nice design.

Nice design
I beleive its only learning a program, can you program it yourself?
Settings can (must) be done via Nest serverif via internet
I dont see there is API interface?
Can not do opentherm of course.

Update: optional a steady program can be added
Wifi: so probably easy to friendly hack the Nest and create your own remote interface instead of controlling via Nest.com

Anyone in Europe / Netherlands got a NEST yet?

It looks nice, but I think you can achieve these features (and more) with a Hortsmann HRT4-ZW wireless ZWave thermostat (as long as you have a good controller and software, it works nicely for me, need to expand it with PIR maybe...)
