Just to let you know I have succesfully running the RFXcom Visonic USB receiver via this device from win7pro-64bit. Next step would be running it from a VMware virtual machine.

Prices at Tweakers.net from 122euro

Nice. I'm using a Belkin LAN USB (which is a different Siles product) running fine under VMware Server 2.0.

The VM is indeed working ok for RFXcom.
Only couldn't get Plugwise working on the VM-XP system but working fine on VM-win7.

Didn't know that the Belkin and Silex products were the same, you learn something new every day :D

Powerconsumption of the device including a Conceptronics usb-hub (power from usb port) with attached the RFXcom Visonic reveiver and the Plugwise stick is 3.2W.
Which gets me to approx 28kW a year.

With ESXi 5 i can get my RFXcom usb transceiver working in a MS Win7 VM through USB passthrough. With other words, I just plugin the transceiver in my server running ESXI and everything works....

Been using Silex SX1000 and SX2000 now for more than a year, for RFX USB receiver with out any problems with Homeseer.
Computer in the attic, Receiver in living room , reception ok. Works even ok over VPN connection.
