Mac Mini as Domotica Server

Post by TANE »

In few weeks there will be a new Mac mini
The new model will use the 45nm Penryn chip from Intel.
Power consumption of this new device will be about 10 Watt in idle mode.

You can run Windows / Linux in native mode or virtual inside Vmware Fusion.

Price +/- 600 euro

Did you check the docs, maybe its a "cer" product hehehe :-)

Still a bit steep 600 euro's , you cant download/purchase any tv series like they can in the states, otherwise it might have been nice.

10W in idle mode, is that the entire box + harddisk? Looks and sounds pretty cool.

Can it run 24x7? Most laptops are not designed to be operated 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Als het niet gerepareerd kan worden dan is het niet kapot!
