Fibaro FGD211 problem

Post by EdwinK »

Hi All,

I've been sillently reading here for quite a while and finally jumped on the domotica train last month by ordering some Z-Wave devices.

Amongst orthers I got myself some Fibaro FGD211 dimmers and an Aeon labs z-stick. Got the dimmers installed behind push button switches in the 2-wire configuration (with a load of 150W). Everything is working perfectly (on/off on push, dim on hold) until they're associated to the stick ...

I'm able to fully control the dimmers through the stick and dimming still works but, switching on/off by a push of the button doesn't work anymore? To turn off the dimmer i need to hold the button until it starts to dim and then giving it a push (just a push won't work), to turn it on i have to hold the button (just a push won't work). I tried to delete and reassociate the dimmers and even did a reset of the stick but as soon as the dimmer is associated to the stick (stick not plugged in, so no software is running) the problem occurs. Anybody got any clues?

Is there anybody using the same setup (FGD-211, Z-Stick 2 & push button switch) who is able to switch the dimmers locally by pushing the button?

My FGD-211s seem to be version 1.9.

I also found a new manual on fibaro's website : v1.9-v1.11 (last week i got v1.4-v1.8 )

Yes I have that setup. Switch 1 works fine, switch 2 acts strange, but I never got around to finding out way.

Maybe there are parameters to adjust?

Exactly the same problem here with version 1.9. 2-wire connection with the FGB-001 in use together with a bunch of dimmable 230V GU10 LED spot lights. Another version 1.7 dimmer works fine on regular incandescent light source.

I just sorted my own issue by associating group 3 with homeseer. Also did some tweaking of parameters 12/13 and 20 around the same time but think the solution to the original issue was because of group 3 wasn't associated. Bottom line is; by doing config changes I got it working :-)
