Creating virtual switch to trigger event

Post by Zarco »

Hi,

I have been diving the last weekends into domotiga and I like it a lot. I use it to steer the roller shutters in my house,
and I am looking for a way to trigger an event from the website. Knowing that the device list is build dynamical,
I was wondering if it was possible to add a virtual device (switch). This would allow me to trigger an event to open
up the shutters.

What is the best way to achieve this in domotiga?

Kind regards,
Bram

Yes, you can just add a virtual device. Then add and event, trigger (on change of the virtual device) and action (do "open shutters"). You need a way to translate the domotiga action into a physical action (actually opening the shutters) but I suspect you know (how to do) this.
Kind Regards,
Greg.

Hi,

thanks for the info. I will test it once I have gained access again to my server. Seems that the upgrade to revision 1151 has broken my access,
it cannot load the modules anymore. Once fixed, I give it a try.
