Hi all,
Not really domotica related, but I'm after a way to use a spring-loaded micro toggle switch (on/off/on) to behave like a potentiometer!
Basically when I move the switch all the way to the left it needs to increase the resistance, and when moving it all the way to the right it needs to decrease the resistance.
When in the middle it needs to stay at the last set resistance.
Anyone here who might have a schematic on how to make this?

Re: Potentiometer emulator with micro toggle switch?
Just place a high value resistor on one side, no resistor in the middel, and a lower value resistor on the other side.
Maybe whe can be provide better support if you tell us what you want to achieve

I think that this is what you want.
Have a search for 'digital potentiometer' on google.

Thank you AshaiRey,
Looks like a X9C103 (10K) will work for me!

TME (Poland I think) also has some Digipots on a prototype board, easy for testing.
www.tme.eu, search for digipot

Re: Potentiometer emulator with micro toggle switch?
I don't know where it will me used or must be placed but you can make one yourself with a few components that are easily available
You need a real potentiometer and a servo
Attach the potmeter's axle on the servo so that the servo controls the potmeter.
For controlling the servo you can use an 555 chip (google : 555 circuit servo - and look at the images)
Or use a tinyArduino 8pins chip which is far more suitable for this. Plenty of source and info about this on google too.

Re: Potentiometer emulator with micro toggle switch?
It's needed to control a camera's tilt (controlled by a servo) from a "quadcopter".
At the moment I have a small lever on my remote control, but it's kind of hard to set to the correct camera tilt.
