im thinking about ordering this also
there is a way to connect my current solution on it as well because it has a standard 2 wire (switch) connect
@noel i think you will use this also the same way...right?

That is correct.

I'll be using the standard 2 wire's as usual.

Besides this I will now also have a "live" video feed directly pushed to my mobile phone, and have a two way voice link to it.

They are also going to release an API so this all can be accessed over the web.

Interested also. Can you post a picture of your 'installation' ?

Is it a simple replace of the current door bell or does it need some re-wiring ?

How is the responstime? Since there where quit some issues in the beginning?

Does the device push you directly or does it push you through the door bot servers?

Would it be possible to e.g. use the camera and 'attach' it to zoneminder, so it can in fact be used as a 'security' camera also ?

At the moment it needs to go through the doorbot server, but they are working on a LAN update.

The "big" delay problems are according to the developers fixed.

My doorbot is on its way and should be here before the end of this week or beginning next week. (depending on customs)

Will update when I have more info.

Nice, I'm very curious. I now use Skybell, but I'm not completely sattisfied. For example; when the skybell doesn't have wifi signal the analog doorbell doesn't work. When the skybell server is down, the analog doorbell doesn't ring. I find mobotix to expensive so i'm willing to try doorbot when I hear possitive reviews. thanks!

Okay,

This morning I received the Doorbot, and the setup was no problem.
I've hard wired it to my original doorbell setup (8V AC), and now when pressed the original doorbell, Homeseer and the Doorbot app (on my Android phone) will ring.
Besides this the Doorbot is now also powered 24/7.

When connected to my own WiFi network with my mobile phone I get a video / audio delay of about 2 seconds (both ways).
I get the same delay with my Simyo mobile provider except that I did not manage to make an audio connection back to the Doorbot.

I'll be doing some more tuning / testing later and report back again.

Small update.

I just noticed that my original doorbell is now constantly humming a bit (like it's not getting enough voltage).
As soon as the Doorbot button is pushed it does ring.

I'm seeing on the doorbot forum that a lot of users are having similar problems with it.
