I have a problem with my OTG on serial interface (without any converters). After restart it works fine for some time (maybe hours) and then it only send data but don't receive anything.
I use Raspberry PI 2 B+ with RaspiComm. I connect with minicom and see only "R00000000" (I didn't connect the boiler and thermostat yet). Hardware and software flow control is OFF.
I used the latest firmware of OTG.
OTG doesn't accept any commands

Hi!
I've the same problem. After a restart the OTGW accepts commands. Later it doesn't.
Did you solve this problem?
Greetings
Niel

I have changed the cable, connected the ground wire.
I'm not sure that it finally resolved a problem but now it seems that it works fine.

That doesn't make sense. Which type of flow control did you use? The connections necessary for hardware flow control are not present and the gateway firmware doesn't handle software flow control.

Re: OTG doesn't accept any commands
Hello,
I am faced with exactly the same problem.
The gateway is working for some time, but than it only displays the the bus communication, but do not accept any commands on the serial line.
if i start for example the otmonitor, it tries to obtain the firmware version of the gateway, but there is no answer from the gateway. See attached picture.
The same is for all other commands, no response from the gateway.
After cutting the power for a short time, all is working normal again (for some time...).
Do anybody have an idea what i can try?

Re: OTG doesn't accept any commands
Hi I am having the same problem.
When I have flashed the gateway software into the system. The systems works fine and there is a response to my commands. After a while it does not respond anymore to any command and it is in "unknown" (monitor?) mode.
After reflashing the firmware again the system works again? Any ideas how to solve this / debug this?
My thermostat is Honeywell Round Modulo and boiler is intergas Compact Combi HR.
I am using an ESP with ESP-Link for communications....

Has somebody found a solution to this problem! Or at least a way to debug what is happening?RSpaargaren wrote:Hi I am having the same problem.
