We have designed all toonstore apps to be installed in this way, so you can immediately tell from the qmf/qml/apps/ directory which versions of an app you are using.

In older firmwares /HCBv2 was the top level directory for the toon-specific software. In later versions (as of 4.10 or thereabouts) this has been changed to /qmf. The links to /HCBv2 still exist in some apps.

Not sure about your weather issue.
Solved my issue with help from this post: viewtopic.php?f=99&t=11683&p=84378&hili ... txt#p84378 and a killall qt-gui.

I'm afraid I haven't carefully explained my finding. Now I think of it; it may be because an already existing installation or leftover was there already which shows the other view. I have included a screenshot of my folder to clarify this further.

it looks like your folder buienradar is not a symbolic link to buienradar-8.4.1 but probably contains the full app as well.
My advise it to uninstall the app via ToonStore, manually remove the folder buienradar and reinstall again via ToonStore.
Then you should be good to go.

You are right that it is probably the result of a pre-toonstore manual installation.
When an old manual installation exists, the creation of the symbolic link fails.

(Same is valid for the boilerstatus app)

I really like Buienradar, but is it more customizable?
Because of the very nice weather there are a lot of Pollen :(
Should it be possible to change the information on the tile or even create a second tile with Pollen information?

I think there will be a lot of users be very happy.

Greetz,
Jos

What would you want to see on the extra tile? And where should that data come from?
Besides all the maps, the rest of the data is only from xml.buienradar.nl
That xml files doesn't contain info about pollen.

In the weather report, the text " " shows up instead of a space.

EDIT: translated into English.

Hi, this is the format as delivered by buienradar in the XML file. I did test once converting the text field in the buienradar app to a rich-text field.
Unfortunately, the formatting (or rather no formatting) stayed the same.

My plan B is to replace these strings within the app by the corresponding characters before displaying on Toon.
I will watch the buienradar xml file for a few days to scan for these character strings to convert.

So, expect a new buienradar release soonish for this......

Kind regards,

Hello Toonz,

Today I also found the é text. It stands for the letter é.
But I see there are more of those special HTML codes: https://www.starr.net/is/type/htmlcodes.html

Great stuff. Haven't noticed this character myself. Will included this is a future release (no plans yet). Will scan the buienradar.xml now and then or simply implement many common used charaters (at the cost of Toon CPU resources)

Buienradar 8.4.2 is available in ToonStore replacing these 2 special character strings in the weather forecast text block.
Apologies for not releasing earlier. It was ready in the test environment for weeks but just forgot to publish it.

I reported the HTML character entities in the free Buienradar data feeds. They are going to fix the problem.
buienradar.nl/overbuienradar/gratis-wee ... s-weerdata

Besides, perhaps a new feature: rainfall data:

Neerslagintensiteit = 10^((waarde-109)/32)

Ter controle: een waarde van 77 is gelijk aan een neerslagintensiteit van 0,1 mm/u.

:-) Rainfall data is already shown at a separate tile for a very long time, since version 5.0.1.
Tile is called: Regenverwachting.

Add the tile to your homescreen. If you click on it you will get a button in the top right corner 'Locatie' in which you can specify your lon/lat coordinates (2 decimals max)

Hi all,

long time since something happened with the Buienradar app, which is probably a good thing :-).
I do however have published a new release in the ToonStore (8.4.3).

Changelog:
- user settings are now stored in the persistent folder /mnt/data/tsc, preparing for exciting future stuff

You will see this change coming for all apps which store user data
This release doesn't contain any other new functionality.

Kind regardz,
