Plugwise Homeseer Plugin

Post by Rene »

This time is determined by Homeseer itself. When a state change occurs Homeseer will take the current system time, the time of the system Homeseer is running on, and use this time as last change. A state change is either a change to on or off or changed power usage. A changing power total does not result in a state change.

Hopefully somewhere next week. Right at this moment I am working on it but have some difficulties figuring out how to implement some of Chak's requested features.

Plugwise Homeseer Plugin

@Chak: The problem with the buttons in Rover is due to a bug in Rover as I already mentioned. After a heavy debate, the maintainer of Rover fixed the issue and provided my a preliminary copy of the fixed code. He is waiting for some answers related to Homeseer, which I doubt he will ever get, before releasing the fix to the public. If you drop my a personal mail I will forward you to fixed code for Rover.

As if it wasn't already hard enough being a .Net and Homeseer plugin novice to provide a good working plugin within short time, I have to chase other people also to fix bugs in their code in order for my plugin to work as it should (Rover, RFXCOM, HSTouch) ;-)

@Rene,
You have PM.
Time ago I optimized the Rover plugin for my pocket PC.
removed all non wanted things like dimming, displaying 24H time etc.
Can't find the file again.
Did someone else also do this?

Hi Rene,

Also working with your plugin now :-). It all works well; thanks!

One small "bug" (I think):

- If I switch plugs (on or off) using the Source when HS is running, the status changes are correctly discovered on the next update
- If I switch plugs *on* using the Source when HS is *not* running, the status changes are correctly discovered on startup of Homeseer
- If I switch plugs *off* using the Source when HS is *not* running, the status changes are *not* discovered on startup of Homeseer

So, on startup of Homeseer, only changes from 0 to 1 are discovered that happened while Homeseer was offline and not the other way around (unless there's also a change in the plugs total usage; so please test it with plugs without any appliances connected).
