Okay, today I received the Visonic Powermax Pro RS-232 adapter kit, but it came without the cable (it's not in stock at the moment and they will send it later :( )

To me it looks like a normal RS232 cable with at one end a 9 pins DB9 plug and at the other end a network plug (a RJ45)
So. Not to hard to make I think.. Exept that I do not have the wiring diagram for it.

Anyone here who might know how to wire this up?

I'm still waiting for mine...where did you buy it?
I ordered mine without cable
You can use the standard Cisco interface cables for this.

I got it from waakzaamwonen.

Hmm Does a Cisco interface cable have a DB9 and RJ45 plug? I did not know. All I need to do now is find a Cisco interface cable

I think you need a null modem cable (see http://www.commdevices.com/pdf/null-mod ... pinout.pdf). I will check my cable this evening when I am at home.

Hi rualblas,

All I got was 1 PCB with 2 RJ45 connectors on it.
They told me that the cable (and I hope the RJ45 to 9 pin male serial plug also) would be posted later as they did not have it on stock.

I remade the cable, but this did also not work.
It could be that I've plugged RJ45 in the wrong connector on the PCB. Should it go in the left one (I think it says PI/PC) or on the right one (CELL/PC)?

Hi Ruud,

Have a look at post nr 19 here: http://www.domoticaforum.eu/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1534

I have the same PCB, and it's got two RJ45 connectors on it.
