Yesterday I used my camera to check if I saw any LEDS blinking (with pointing the camera in the direction of the LED)
After 5 min. I saw a blinking light so that made me very happy

With the LAN RFXMitter (with 1 transmitter module already in) I need the following to measure my power.

I now can use this set:
- http://www.rfxcom.com/receivers.htm#80011 (master version) <-- 433.92MHz receiver with antenna for X10 and others
- http://www.rfxcom.com/sensors.htm#70087 (1x) OR http://www.rfxcom.com/sensors.htm#70088 (3x) <-- 433.92MHz RFXMeter 230V/50Hz
- http://www.rfxcom.com/sensors.htm#70090 <-- RFXPulse module
- http://www.rfxcom.com/sensors.htm#70091 <-- Reflective-Optical sensor

OR this set:
- http://www.rfxcom.com/receivers.htm#80011 (master version) <-- 433.92MHz receiver with antenna for X10 and others
- http://www.rfxcom.com/sensors.htm#70095 <-- 433.92MHz RFXMeter with 1 RFXPulse module and power supply

For the purpose of counting the led pulses you just can use: Photo sensor Order code: 70093

yep. The 70091 is for as an example gasmeters, where there is a reflective part in the meter. The 70091 is like an computer mouse. The reflection on the surface is noticed by the sensor.

The 70093 photo sensor can be used on visible light LED's.

The 70091 reflective sensor can also be used for some IR LED's if the IR LED frequency is 950nm. Disconnect the wire for the internal LED in the 70091.

The photo sensor (7009<font color="red">3</font id="red">) also works on the Landis&Gyr ZCF120ABd.

So the photo sensor in the 70093 doesn't see ir? I thought it would, my mistake. How do you check the ir freq?

Although your metering solution might differ, I'd like to make a note about examining the 1-phase or 3-phase system.

The box below the meter is the main fuse box, a square box contains room for 3 fuses (normal households: 3x 25A). This box is sealed and may only be opened by your metering company (Stedin in your case). A narrow and long box will contain a single fuse. Only if you have narrow single fuse box, you can be sure it is not a 3-phase system.

For 3-phase fuseboxes, the metering company will install a 3-phase meter. Some meters actually show how many phases it will support on the box (i.e. 3x230/400V).

A 3-phase fusebox and a 3-phase meter will not tell you if you have a 3-phase system, the metering company may decide to enable just 1 of 3 phases. To be sure you will have to open up the first box above the meter, or the box above the meter with the main switch. Only if all three phases are connected to the main switch and those 3 phases lead in to the rest of your system you can be sure you need a 3-phase metering solution.

The amount of switches in your jumper box will not tell you if you have a 3 phase system, I had a 3-phase system with just 7 jumpers (groepen).

Sorry, I meant the photo sensor (70093)... It does work on my system...

Hi,

I am kind of having a hard time getting this to work with my electricity meter.
Both sensor cables that I am using does not see Infrared lights that are comming from the meter.

When I test the sensors they are both working with normal light (or normal leds...)

Anyway is there a device or way to pick up infrared lights and convert that into a normal LED?
