What is new?
Need to update or not?
Dylan dude! I trust you don't want to be obnoxious, but it really is bad form to repeatedly ask questions in a forum that can easily be answered if you simply read the effing manual. Hence the RTF manual remark earlier. If you would take the time to read the history file that accompanies the firmware you would first see the remark "It is strongly advised to flash your device only if updates apply to a function used!"

Secondly there is an explanation about the differences between Type1 and Type2:
  • Type1 is the default firmware and will suit nearly all requirements
  • Type2 supports the RAEX blind motor
So my wild guess is, that if you don't own a RAEX blind motor you should stick to Type1.

p.s.
I'm not trying to tell you off, just trying to help you.. Because one day you might really need the help of a fellow forum member or moderator and they might not be so inclined to help you anymore..

@ sj3fk3

Thanks for your positive feedback ..
For me it is a forum specifically designed for the info I do not "just" can know.
I have run more software ...
Which I often come first on a forum to know if eea is stable ..
Or still in Alpha.
And sometimes there are members who want [to] run. At an alpha
And the advice is even sometimes to wait with updating etc etc etc

But I have realized that this is a forum for the smarter people.
And I'm trying to change me, with my minimal eq

- It is strongly advised to flash your device if updates only apply to a function used

Actually it was governed by what I was looking ...
But the digital world is not always ......

thanks

Hello,

Regarding Livolo switches, what does it mean that RFXCOM have only a transmit function ?! .. is that different from what RFXCOM offer for Home Easy or LightWave RF ?!

One last question for those who tried Livolo switches, is it reliable ?! I am somehow torn between Home Easy (HE-304) and Livolo switches. Any feedback would be truly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Livolo remotes are not received by the RFXtrx433.
The Livolo modules do not transmit RF like HomeEasy and LightwaveRF.
The Livolo appliance and dimmer modules can be controlled by the RFXtrx433.

Livolo receive will not be added.
Livolo modules are touch modules and as remote you can use a supported one like KAKU or HomeEasy to trigger the HA application.
