It's good to see that there are Domotica enthusiasts living nearby (thanx to Bwired Googlemaps upload).
A couple days ago I met DJF3 when he visited my house to see my HA system. I will be visiting him soon to get some idea's from his side.
For the both of us it means more things on our wishlist. (He will have a touchscreen with HS Touch soon I'm sure [:D]
He also found out that he CAN monitor waterusage with his watermeter (same as mine...)
So if you live close to a 'control freak' [;)] maybe you should make an appointment to exchange ideas.
P.S. There are some pro's I would certainly would like to visit even if it's further away [:)]

Guess I can expect you soon at my door then if you widen the circle.......

I will add this possibility tomorrow. I will add a device type of "LAST CHANGE" so if this type is selected, then the value field will be populated with the last changed date / time instead of the device value.

I suppose I will need to account for the different date formats used like in the USA the month comes before the day etc..

Would you like it so that if the last change was today or yesterday, then the text is shown like "Today at 12:30:00" or "Yesterday at 15:25:00" or just the date and time like 19/04/2009 at 12:30:00 or April 19 2009 at 15:32:00?

Did I also read somewhere that there is a limit to the number of characters allowed in the value field?

Hi Paul,

Welcome back from holiday!
The value is now 30 Varchar, you can always check this at the top of this topic, I keep this up to date.

I have uploaded V 0.6 of the Homeseer configuration tool.

Selecting DATE/TIME as the device type will upload the last changed date / time of the device. This can be used for a mailbox or door bell sensor for example.

The date format will be the same as that of the Homeseer server. If the last change was today or yesterday then the date part of the string will be replaced with the text "Today" or "Yesterday", otherwise the last changed date will be used.

This version can be installed over all previous versions.

I've just tried it out and it seems to work fine except for the time formatting:

In homeseer as 'Last Change' for my doorbell I have: '<b>Today 9:52:57 PM</b>'

On domoticaworld this results in:


Outputting to the HS-log it shows the same in the XML data:
<b><Value>Today 52:57 PM</Value></b>

Probably has something to do with my server using AM/PM time notation?
