NIEUW: in de mobiele app (http://ipvantoon/mobile. Is nu ook water zichtbaar als de sensor is aangesloten en ingesteld.

Nice work.oepi-loepi wrote:NIEUW: in de mobiele app (http://ipvantoon/mobile. Is nu ook water zichtbaar als de sensor is aangesloten en ingesteld.
Is there a way to receive the water data from Domoticz.? I use this method https://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17123
It works fine in Domoticz and it shouldn’t be that hard to get this data in the toon (only not for me)
Any ideas?

Re: Toon App: Water
Yes, it is quite simple. Just install the toonWater app and in the setting menu (when you click the txt tile). You will see an option to import water from domoticz. Fill in your domotics ip and port and the two idx ‘s. That simple.gielie wrote:Nice work.oepi-loepi wrote:NIEUW: in de mobiele app (http://ipvantoon/mobile. Re: Toon App: Water

Re: Toon App: Water
here the same problem with the negative numbersTebogo wrote:Thanks again!!version 1.1.16:
- pulsedivider to be set in setup menu for use of optical sensor (divide by 2)
- flow more than 120 l/min is set as false reading and not showing
3 things I found on Toon.
1: ToonWater gives a negative value for the cost. As if I deliverd water![]()
2: Where do I set the price of a m^3 water?
3: Possible to give watermeter when you click on Meterstand in the Graph?
Thanks!
removing the tile and adding it again was the solution.
after this no more negative numbers.
Re: Toon App: Water
Today I finally had some time solder together the "sensor" to read out my Elster water meter. The nice thing about this meter is that it has an opening to put in a reed contact which gives you 2 pulses per 1 liter of water used. Below a short description of what I did as it could be useful to others.
What do you need:
- 2mm reed contact (I used one from aliexpress: nl.aliexpress.com/item/4000773848015.ht ... 4c4dyQ4ZcZ)
- 10 kOhm resistor (or something alike as "pull-up" --> optional, seems to work without as well)
- 3 wire cable
- shrink sleeve
Step1: Remove the small plastic cap that is located at the encircled position

Step2: Drill a hole in the top position of the cap and pull the cable through the hole
Step3: Solder the reed contact, the 10kOhm resistor and the cable together as depicted below. Make sure it is compact enough to fit in the hole of the meter
.
In my case the schematic is: +3.3v (brown) - 10kOhm - signal (green) - reed contact - ground (white)

Step4: Put a shrink sleeve around to avoid shorts to the water meter

Step5: Push your sensor in the hole of the water meter, the plug should secure its position.

Step6: Connect to the Wemos as described by the general manual (in my case: white - GND, green - D2, brown - 3v3)

Follow the rest of the manual of opie-loepie. Make sure you set "deel pulsen door 2", otherwise you will be measuring twice as much

Re: Toon App: Water
Super. I did not know the meter has a magnet. Good solution and thank you for sharing. I think the 10kOhm resistor is not needed since i used the internall pullup. Just GND and D2 should do the trick.
Re: Toon App: Water
I was not sure and adding the pull-up later would be more of a hassle. Just checked: it works without pull-up indeed.oepi-loepi wrote:Super. I did not know the meter has a magnet. Re: Toon App: Water
Is there a maximum of length of the cable? I had a nice working set, but wanted the wire out of sight.
I doubled the length of the original sensor. The red-led on the sensor is working as usual, the blue led on the wemos goes out when the led on the sensor is on.
but the Wemos doesn't seem to give a puls/waterflow signal or update the watermeter..
Thanks for the response!

Re: Toon App: Water
As long as you keep the length not excessive long, there should not be a problem. A few meters for a digital signal is nothing special. It should work.
What does the webportal show (esp-toonwater.local) when you keep refreshing the page and add pulses to the sensor?

Re: Toon App: Water
The portal looks normal, but no updates when the sensor gives pulses...oepi-loepi wrote:As long as you keep the length not excessive long, there should not be a problem. A few meters for a digital signal is nothing special. It should work.

I'll recheck te wires..
Thanks
Re: Toon App: Water
By the way, found a "bug" in the portal, version 1.1.11
When you go to "update" and than choose "terug" you get the following: "http://10.187.1.121/%22//%22"

Re: Toon App: Water
I have put an USB (male-female) extension cable and that works. The only problem I still have is the right positioning of the sensor
