The webservice returns a 500 server message and the domoticaworld.asp returns:
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0046'

Permission denied

/Domoticaworld.asp, line 94

Well it is sort of.

Any chance you could alter it so it pings the site first to make sure it is available. If ping fails then no attempt is made to upload data.

Would save a lot of red entries in the HS log.

Gogs.

I wish more programmers who use internet connections, would adopt the policy of making sure the connection is there before firing off.

Hi Gogs,
Perhaps Sooty can look in to that, he made the Plugin.
The Bwired server is running at my home so sometimes Internet is down or otherwise.
I'm having some troubles right that every few days my server hangs completely, I can only see a screen that is freezed :-(
no logging in eventviewer etc.
But normally it should be running 24/7

Personally i think that pinging is a bit to much for this kind of upload; i mean, it is not really mission critical. It won't hurt my own "thing".
I don't ping my HA7Net either and i consider that to be more critical than this upload.
Furthermore, i would still like to see those red entries (or even better, an email telling me that something is down) when a ping fails. So what is the gain of pinging in this particular subject?

The gain is simple. I do not have pages and pages of red errors, when the error is nothing to do with HomeSeer or my setup.

I use pining to check if other computers are available on my network. If they are not then it writes a message to the log to say they are not available, but does not perform any functions relating to them.

@Pieter: if your server OS is frozen completely (like no num-lock) that it can be a driver (but most if the time it will give a BSOD) or hardware specific. Do you check for temperatures (cpu shutdown) ?

My screen just freezes, i can see the date and time still :-)
I have this not only on this machine but also on my former server, so it must have something to do with my own software which is hanging things up.
no strange or high mem/cpu usage. Sometimes runs for weeks good, but lately only a few days or hours
I need a tool to check the memory or stack.

Pieter. An other thing that I've noticed is that http://www.bwired.nl/domoticaworld.asp is really slow for some time now!
Is it me, or is it that page?

I have just started sending data using the latest HomeSeer script. Most of my more useful data values are contained in device strings in HomeSeer (including graphics so I have used the RFXCom interpretation with a divisor of 1 and it displays an appropriate value with no decimal places at the base of the config. None of the other device type options display anything. However when the value is written to the XML file they have three decimal places. How do I get back to something like everyone else is displaying eg 1 decimal place ?

Current Outside temp is 12.7C degrees and that is what is displayed in HS (preceded by a temp symbol) yet in the XML file and therefore on the map it is 12.700 C
I have Plugwise devices which display "Usage: 29.70W, Total: 12.69kWh" but again this is changed to 29.700 watts

Welcome xAppo on the map!
Perhaps Sooty can help you, and can tell what is going on with your formatting?

@Wifi: yes lots of data to get for displaying, getting slower with every member now.
Let me see what I can do about that, i will think it over in Italie next week :-)
