<br />There is a Linux driver/module from at least kernel version 2.6.23.
So installing the driver and use the CP2101 as a serial device will work.

You only have to write a multi-port serial driver.<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">
I didn't know the PMIX35 USB interface is CP2101-based, but this does make things under Linux a lot easier.
I know the Linux kernel already offers CP2101 support, but I'm not really sure what you mean with 'writing a multi-port serial driver'. Can you please elaborate? Because as far as I know, plugging in the PMIX35 will cause the Kernel to spawn a /dev/ttyUSBx device, which behaves like a regular serial port with a CTX35 attached.

Weet je misschien wat meer over deze extra commando's? Een specificatie zou helemaal geweldig zijn... Of wordt het weer gewoon ouderwets reverse-engineren?

So I stopped developing it any further (Linux style ;-).

So we're switching to English again, hey? ;-)

The PMIX35 manual contains the specifications of the PMIX35 communication format, including the new commands; this should be enough to make your own driver including the new features.

Goede middag,

Guys, can you please keep this topic English? Your questions on the PMIX35 interface is already answered above and in may other topics: After installing the driver, it will show as an extra serial port. Through this serial port it can be controlled using the same protocol as used by the CTX35, with a couple of extensions for the analyzer function.

If you know the Xanura equivalent of the Marmitek device you are using, you can program it through the software by selecting the Xanura equivalent type number. Please note that not all Marmitek modules have Xanura equivalents. Especially the cheaper one-way modules and the single-wire modules don't have a Xanura counter part.

Mindbender,
yes I'm interested in your code, or put more specific, I'm interested in the comunication between my Linux system and the PMIX35. I see the PMIX35 as /dev/ttyUSB0 and I'm trying to just send some strings to it with the echo-command. From the PMIX35 Manual I found that it should look like

$>9000{bericht}cs#

but what makes it work (or don't work in my case) is the proper use of spaces, brackets, double quotes or other characters. Should the message placed between double quotes, or between brackets. etc. A hint here would help. Perhaps your code can shine some light on this matter.

Thanks, Frank
