Thanks Toonz for this nice fix.

Waste provider is set on provider '0' and it works ok untill I updated to 4.17. Also with version 4.18 still having the same issue.

Yes, it's done. One question: do you have a Toon 1 or a Toon 2?
On Toon 1 you will need to download the calendar via cron and wget as described earlier due to the server certificates which are not supported on Toon1.
Save the file in /root/waste/waste_calendar.ics and choose provider 29

On Toon 2 I can retrieve the file online (need to create a new waste provider for that but that's a 5 min job).

Next release will show up in ToonStore somewhere this weekend.

Hi Toonz, getting back to viewtopic.php?p=82702#p82702
Here in Meppel, we can get a calendar download for a years worth of data as you allready indicated. I put that data into /root/waste/waste_calendar.ics (example attached ), but sadly this is not being processed.
I did put in "Afvalverwerker: 0" but even after reboot of toon, "Komende afval ophaaldagen" remains empty.
What can I do to get this data loaded?

I am down with a sort of flue so try to limit my 'computertime' this weekend.

For now you can choose afvalverwerker 25, this will show your dates correctly, all categories are shown ok, except waste category 'VET-goed' isn't recognised.
What type of waste is that by the way? I might not yet have an icon for that.

I will include Meppel properly in the next release but it will not be in the coming days ….

In WastecollectionApp.qml, under "function wasteTypeMeerlanden(shortName)", I added [case "VET": return 7;] as it basically resembles KCA waste plus old/broken electrical appliances.

Hi Toonz,

Since I'm running on the latest firmware I have a problem with the status icon. When, for example, I put it "aan straat", the next morning the status has been reset. Any idea?

Don't worry, it is not a bug, it is just a not yet implemented function .
Around midnight the status is being reset indeed, but I am pretty sure this was also the case with previous firmwares.

Could it be that you were running a very old version of the afvalwijzer app? When upgrading to 5.0.4 all installed apps have been refreshed to the latest version automatically to ensure compatibility with firmware 5.

I will see if I can fix it in the next release.

Running on 4.18 of the Afvalwijzer. Didn't had it in previous releases. Anyways, thnx! Would be nice to have this "fixed"

I'm experiencing some problems using the wastecollection app. I'm not sure whether it is related to the new 5.0.4. FW or not but i hope you can help me out. After updating my Toon (v1) to the latest FW i noticed the waste collection app wasn't updating anymore. So for this reason i uninstalled it by use of Toon Store. After deinstalling i tried to install the Waste Collection app 4.19 again. Toon shows me the download icon in the upper status bar but there after nothing happens unfortunately. The status in Toon Store is still "available" and hasn't changed to "installed".
Now i tried to install the ipk file manually but that results in a few errors see log below:

# opkg install wastecollection_4.19-r0_qb2.ipk

Hi all,

because of the removal of the old wget 1.12 from this forum (which is superseded by a much better native wget in firmware 5.0.4) the installation of the waste collection app failed.
You will see the download icon appears but not else happens.

This is because it had a dependency on the old wget version which it couldn't download anymore.
I have now removed this dependency and version 4.19 can be installed again via ToonStore without isssues.

So, go to ToonStore and try installing/upgrading the app again.
Let me know if you still encounter issues...

Confirmed, this is now working again and I was able to upgrade to 4.19. Thanks for fixing it.

I just updated to 4.19.
Now the panel with text is blinking each few seconds. Looks like it is writing the text lines repeatedly to the screen.
The same happens after Opslaan when changing instellingen.
Restart GUI makes no difference.

After Herstart Toon, de box stays empty. Also after Opslaan instellingen. No text into the box, also no header that is getting data.

Toon is on 4.19.10. I use provider 15 and a local file which is also not shown.
