Questions CM11 and CM15

Preparing HomeSeer3 with X10 on Windows-8.1.
(want to turn into Z-wave sometime, but in the meantime I want to use my #20 X10-devices).
Well, after a few weeks batteling, my X10 system is not working in HomeSeer3.
Does CM11 (serial) work with HomeSeer3 ? Do I have to make a setting in HomeSeer?
Does CM15 (USB), non-PRO, non-A, 433 MC version work with Homeseer3 (I installed the drivers)?
Do I fill in a devicecode AND an address in HomeSeer3 (see attachment)?
When using CM11 or CM15 do they always need batteries for proper function?
Better to buy a CM15Pro ? Or better downgrade to stable HomeSeer-2
