Smart TV as part of domotica system

Who has incorporated a smart TV into his/her Domotica system? I don't have one yet but I wonder if there are apps that give notification on the TV that can be triggered by Homeseer (2).
Let me know your ideas.

There is a Binding available for OpenHAB so there is a little integration possible using OpenHAB
