Maximum cable length?

I was wondering what can be said about the maximum powerline cable length you can use and still keep X10 reliable. I know, this is very much influenced by the amount of noise on the powerline, everybody has a different house, wiring, noise-generating equipment etc. etc. but nevertheless, i would just like to know some numbers and facts. So i thought, maybe combining experiences from us forum members, i can get a bit better insight on what can and cannot be done.

So the question(s) is: what's your maximum reliable distance you can reach? And did you have to install additional filters to accomplish that? And do you consider your powerline a 'noisy' one or not?

Thanx,

Ok... probably to hard to answer that question.
I'll make it a bit easier and turn it into a poll:

I can reach a module over a distance of ca. 70 m. without any problem, on a single phase system with only 1 TV behind a filter with quite some fluorescent lights scattered around the house. What's your opinion:

a. Huh, i can easily double that distance.
b. Good for you, but that's not uncommon.
c. He, how did you do that? I wish i could!
