OTGW support for Wolf CWL Excellent?

Dear,
I’m pretty new into this, but it all seems very exciting. I do have a few questions, though. Sorry if they have been answered before. I also would like to use an OTGW to remotely control my ventilation unit (Wolf CWL Excellent) and enable schedules onto it.
-Can the OTGW be connected through RJ11 to the ventilation unit, as this is the socket that is available to me for OT communication. Is ‘Boiler’ then the ventilation unit? What is supposed to be the ‘Thermostat’ then?
-Can I make the OTGW a device in my network by just plugging an USB 2 Ethernet adapter into it?
-How can the OTGW be connected to a RaspberryPi? Can you also use any smartphone app to control the behavior of the ventilation unit through the OTGW?
-Has anyone had some luck integrating an OTGW with a system for domotics like Fibaro or Domoticz?
