Yesterday (20-05-2008) they placed a 23+ feet electric motorized awning here, and I was already looking for a way to control this with my Xanura setup.
The ZAIX12 is maybe the solution for this.
All I need to do now is find what the thing will cost, and who is selling it.

(Shouldn't this be in English?)
I wonder whether this new module supports status request (i.e. the feature that the old ZAX module is missing). I guess the answer is probably yes, but it would be nice to know for sure.
No price information yet in the online catalogue of my wholesale supplier.

Dont see any status requests option, although it has "extended" but nothing else about it.

The new ZAX12 sunblind actor can be installed behind retractive switches (pulse schakelaar) or in distribution boxes.
<b>And yes it has a status request option.</b> [:)]
The ZAX12 has 4 inputs:
Purple - motor up
White - motor down
Pink - Lock function
Grey - Preset function
The module reacts to ON, OFF, DIM, BRIGHT and sends EXTEND commands

Just curious, anyone ever had a X10 module "forget" its address?
One of my marmitek shutter modules just stopped recognizing commands from the CM11 (it still works by pressing the buttons locally.)
As I didn't change anything or add any new electrical appliances, I assume the signals are still arriving there correctly.
It worked fine for 1 year, and so far it's the only one that stopped working (I have 7 shutter modules.)

Pieter, how does this module work for you? We can all see you have one installed
Can you tell us how it responds to several commands? I was hoping it would enable me to put the shades in any position by sending it a DIM command from 0 to 100% where 0% is fully closed and 100% is fully opened. Obviously it works different, right?

The first modules could do that (theoretically) as you had to program the length of time from the "fully on" to the "fully off" position. On these newer modules, the device doesn't know when that happens - unless they employed current sensing to know when the shutter motor was on or off at the end positions.
So, though it can receive DIM/BRIGH commands to step in either direction, it can't really go to a preset position - unless you're keeping track of its current position in your Home Control Software and simulate it.

The SW10 and SWM1P both respond to the extended X-10 Shutter commands and can be put directly in any position you want. Both have to be callibrated to open and full close positions. The Marmitek ActiveHomePro software can execute these x-10 commands.

<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">The ZAX12 works with the Dim or Bright command, the sunscreen moves one step up or down until the commands stop or the motor is reaches the end position. The ZAX12 has two addresses one for moving up and down and one for the preset adres. So you can use the preset as well for this purpose, this is BTW also sending out an extended command with the new position.
@peterpc, the SW10 is the sunscreen controller we all want to get rid of (no status etc), not sure about status on the SWM1P [:)]

Just got my ZAIX12 in but discovered that my PMIX35 program doesn't have an option to program it. (Version 1.02)
The Xanura website is offline which doesn't help either.
Anybody more up to date software? What other options do I have?

You just need to set the adres?
Did you try another module in the PMIX35 software?
