my mission: (re)gain control of my domotica system...

Post by pvanhees »

Hi Experts,

I'm on a mission... a mission to (re)gain contol of my Teletask domotica system.

The installation of my Teletask system was done when I constructed my house. The only complaint that I have is that every option (an extra license for mobile, an extra license for my computer) is bloody expensive. I'm very sad that Teletask doesn't open their system, and continue to force me to pay for everything.

I have a plan to get out of this situation. When I initially installed my system, I made the crazy decision to place place multiple light switches in every room. As a consequence, there are a lot of TDS12116 modules in my garage (each input connecting a single light switch in the rooms).

The evil plan I have is to have a z-wave interface, to send signals to each of these inputs. If this works, I plan on removing/replacing all light switches (possibly replacing a few of them with a z-wave switch). The ultimate goal is to use several Amazon Alexa devices in my house, and control my lights using voice command.

I found this interface, which I believe might do the trick:

Can someone tell me if this would be the right module to hook-up to digital outputs of this module, to the digital inputs of my Teletask TDS12116? If you have other suggestions, I'm all ears.

PS: I'll probably write a blog about this setup, as there might be other Teletask customers who feel locked into their tactics.

If you already have a central setup where each switch has wiring to a centralrelay box you don`t need to use Z-Wave since you installation is already wired. You only need to have some kind of input contact and output relais (actuators)

The LHC5020 Z-Wave DIN-rail module only has 4 inputs and 10 outputs. And i think you need at least one input per room, and it will be quit expensive to replace al the local switches ( or i misunderstood you`re current setup/plan)

You might want to take a look at this links (if you can read dutch)

More advanced setup using PLC (centralized control) https://femme.tweakblogs.net/blog/14257 ... het-zelver
Running HS3PRO on PC with Z-Wave / OpenTherm / Plugwise / RFXcom / MQTT / XAP400 / Logitech Media Server and Squeezelite on PI`s

Hi,

I'm looking for a picture of the mainboard of such a central. Can you please post or email me by any change a HD picture of the mainboard with al the IC's clearly viewable?
I have an old teletask central and for the same reason as you, i don't want to buy another newer one. (to expensive). Therefor i am looking for a picture to build the central from scratch.

PS: sorry for my bad english
