PLCBUS 2027 Appliance module: What is inside?

Users of PLCBUS modules will have learned from the manual that the 2027 appliance module has the phase (or line) connection on the left and Neutral on the right.

You should make sure when connecting the unit to the mains that the left side of the connector is connected to the phase.

Why? Well, as the following picture shows, the electrical relay only switches one connection instead of both phase and neutral:

When fitting the module the wrong way, it still works, but the electrical relay will switch the neutral line. This means when the appliance module is switched off that the phase is still connected to your equipment.
