Is there a new release for the rooted community and is it safe to install on my rooted tone?
Just asking just to be sure i dont mess up my toon.

I don't know anythign about 5.28.8. Where did you see that?

I saw 5.25.8 on my Toon appear today... i checked the list so i can update safely

Yes you can update to 5.25.8, no problem. However there is always a slight possibility that something goes wrong.

Since the last update today the Toon responses allmost directly after touching while in dimmode. I don.t know if that was the meaning, but thanks

We have pulled 5.28.6 for rooted Toon's a few minutes ago. There's a substantial possibility that the Toon loses his root.

If this happens with your rooted Toon, we are working on a solution but the Toon must be re-rooted for now.

Mmm hopefully it stil works ;-( I just updated to this firmware.

If everything works the same, the Toonstore is present, then i don.t have to worry?

Hopefully you can explain how i can see its still rooted., SSH acces as ROOT stil works.

if you update from 5.22.14 or 5.25.8 you shouldn't have any issues.
If you update from versions before 5.22.14 you *might* have issues

If toonstore is present you don't need to worry.

Is it okay for the Toon 1 to update to the latest firmware? or could I better wait that the new script is released to do the upgrade?

script is already updated.

You can update to 5.28.6 from 5.22.14 or 5.25.8

If you are on a version lower then 5.22.14 you need to go to 5.25.8 first, then update to a newer version.

And for a Toon1 there was no issue and no need to update to 5.26.8 first.

Hi all,

Found out that Philips hue not always worked on firmware 5.25.8. 'New' Toons didn't ask me to connect my Hue bridge. Also a search in the menu didn't work out.

So I updated to 5.28.6 and since then it working fine again. If you might have trouble using hue on 5.25.8, maybe 5.28.6 is also the solution for you!
