Hi,

On my Ziggo modem I used port forwarding to control Toon from outside my home network.

Now I got a new second hand router which had VPN ability.
Can someone help me out how to setup the VPN for a Asus RT-AC3200 router?

Hello,

First you ask ziggo to switch your ziggo modem in bridge mode so the modem is only modem.

Your new router will do everything do you have open VPN server on this router ?

It is not difficult to used it.

Switch it on, download the open vpn certificates and upload it in your open vpn client cellphone or ipad or computer what you want to used.

or install on a PI or computer home assistant and you can used the home assistant app.

And if you have a google speaker you can used the speaker app.

I do have several Google home speakers so I will have to figure out how to setup them for Toon.

I thought it would no longer work without Toon payment to Eneco.

For using your google home speakers you need to use Home assistant.

the speaker will connect to your home assistant and your home assistant is connected to your toon.
