Water and Heat measurement

Hi All,
I like to measure water and heat (stadsverwarming)
What do I need for this
see the pictures.

I have Rfxmeter(power only)

For the water meter you can use the RFXPulse with a reflective-optical sensor. This sensor can be placed above the wheel that is half metal, half red plastics.

Check if there is any usable pulse on the energy meter.

there is a flashing lcd block at the left corner. (page 6)
First i need to understand how and what they measure.

For the water part this are the modules?

The energy meter seems to have an infra-red interface at the front. It would be nice to know a little about the protocol.
For the half-metal wheel you could use a hall-sensor as well, though I don't think those are standard RFX probes.

Yes there is a IR sensor in front..i think for automatic reading the correct settings from the display.
I'm going to start with water..hope in the next months there are other forum users with the same energy meter.
first step is reading..next step developing the Homeseer logging /charts.
