Can anybody explain me the benefit for multiple transmitters and receivers for RFXCOM? Just curious...

There are different kind of RF signals to receive and transmit.
For every frequency that you are going to use you need a device what can transmit/receive on the same frequency.
In Europe:
Rfxcom Receiver 868,95 Mhz is for the Visonic security devices.
Rfxcom Receiver 433,92 Mhz is for long list of devices..I use this for Kaku, Oregon and X10
Rfxcom Transmitter 433,92Mhz is for the same list as above. (with the transmitter you can control devices)
Rfxcom Transmitter 310Mhz is for the US market X10 Oregon etc.. devices
