Should be possible, the only thing currently is that there is a need for a longlived token to use to be able to access the API from home assistant.

This will show you how to read the sensors in HA, what you were actually asking us retrieving sensor data from HA..... which makes no sense at all.

Since my external temp sensor is attached to the open therm module am I right to assume that I can use the domoticz idx value?
If so, can you indicate how I can retrieve the correct idx of the temp sensor?

if you run Domoticz as a system, look into settings to retreive the IDX of your sensor.

Looking at your question i do not think you run a Domoticz system.

You are correct, I don't have a Domoticz system.

My hope was that it would possible to retrieve the data of the outdoor temperature sensor because it is connected to the OpenTherm module and Toon is also retrieving various data from that module.
If that isn't possible, no big deal.

I use the ToonTemp app to show on a tile the real temperature in my garden. ToonTemp retrieves the value from Domoticz.
In the Domoticz log I see frequent error messages:

[WebServer] Deprecated RType (devices) for API request. Handled via fallback (getdevices), please use correct API Command! (192.168.178.21)

The IP address is the address of my TOON.
In order to get ToonTemp working I have enabled in Domoticz the option: " Sta Basic-Auth authenticatie toe over HTTP (API aanroepen)".
So it all works, but I worry that in a future Domoticz version this basic API authentication might be removed.

By the way, I also use TOON DoorCam, which also retrieves the status of certain Variables from Domoticz, so this is probably the reason that I see multiple of the "[Webserver} Depreciated...." messages.

Are there any plans to change how TOON interacts with Domoticz?

after the last update I no longer get any info from my domoticz temp sensor but only get a value of -99
which seems to indicate ToonTemp cannot reach my Domoticz installation. Prior to the update all worked just fine.

Any ideas on this? Is there something I need to change? Also , the new update uses a JSON API if I am correct? But how to code the Domoticz URL?
Does it still need the port coded?

Update: I installed the latest version of Domoticz ( 2024.1) and the Temp shows again, although its value is shown with a very small font size .

You were using a very old domoticz with an old endpoint.

The fontsize is set to fit the complete text on a tile. So if the title is long, the fontsize will be smaller.

thanks for the response but I believe my case to be different.
aqttached are 2 pictures, one showing the definition , the other showing the very small font size :

This is the main tile which will show all toonTemps on 1 tile so small font. You can select another tile from the temperatuur section after you have clickeed an empty tile
