US passive coupler in europe

I have newly joined this forum so that I can ask my question. Hi everyone!
The CP000 Passive Coupler by ACT in the US allows X10 signals to pass from a household 120 Volt circuit to the 240 Volt circuit - they have both voltages in most houses. I am using some 120 Volt appliances in the UK using a 2:1 step-down transformer. The question is can I use a CP000 Passive Coupler across the transformer to carry X10? Note that US is 60Hz and UK is 50Hz. In case anyone wonders, it would mean I could use my US spec remote and tranceiver at 110V to control my UK modules at 240V.
