Hi,

I tried to upgrade the firmware of the latest OpenTherm Gateway using OTMonitor and I have a problem with that.
I'm connected to OTGW via WiFi and when I click "Program" on the firmware upgrade form then OTMonitor tells me to reset OTGW manually after that I see the information:

"Could not put gateway into self-programming mode."

Could somebody help me with that?
Is it possible to upgrade the firmware VIA web client?

Thanks
Adrian

It is definitely possible to upgrade the firmware over WiFi.

<telepathymode>You are using a Wemos D1 mini, running rvdbreemen's firmware version 0.9.5 and you have a PIC16F1847. That means you cannot upgrade the PIC firmware directly from the ESP8266, which is why you're trying to do it from OTmonitor.</telepathymode>

Version 0.9.5 of rvdbreemen's firmware is not fully transparent, which breaks the upgrade function of OTmonitor. If you upgrade the firmware on the Wemos to 0.10.1, you can then use the built-in function to upgrade a PIC16F1847. With 0.10.1, it is also possible to upgrade the PIC with OTmonitor. But only attempt that if your WiFi signal is strong and stable.
