RFXMeter module configuration

Hi all,

I'm currently installing some RFXMeter devices for seperately monitoring solar energy production and consumption, gas consumption etc. and I have some questions concerning module configuration:

- The RFXMeter/RFXPwr manual clearly states that if an RFXPwr module is used in module position 0, the RFXMeter does not need to be powered by its own power supply: it will be powered through the RFXPwr module adapter. But what about a second RFXPwr module in module position 1? If I want to measure a second group thats on the same phase as the module in position 0, do I still need to connect the power adapter of the module in position 1? Or will it also get its power and voltage reading through the adapter of the module in position 0?

- If I still need to feed power directly into the RFXPwr module in position 1, can I connect it to the same adapter as the RFXPwr module in position 0 (connecting it in parallel)? Or will the power requirements of two (or even three) RFXPwr modules exceed the adapter specifications? I would like to minimize the amount of adapters as they a) clutter up the switchboard and b) are not very efficient.

- Are the RFXPulse and RFXPwr module readings stored inside the modules themselves or inside the RFXMeter device? To put it differently: if I relocate a module from one RFXMeter device to another, will I take the reading with it?

Thanks!

Lennart

Each RFXPwr module gets the AC voltage from it's own AC adapter. You can connect the AC connectio of the 2nd (and 3rd) RFXPwr to the 1st RFXPwr if they measure the same power source.

The values are stored in the RFXMeter.
