Hi all,

I need some of your help.

I'm after an internet radion, and I have no clue what to get.
At the moment I'm using my Kisss DP-588 HDD recorder to listen to internet radion, but with this I need to have the TV on all the time.

What I would like to get is an internet radio, that I can program with my own favorite radio stations.

Anyone here who's got some more info on what to get?
I was looking at the AIR (Asustek Internet Radio).

Grazie drmacchi,

The Grace ITC-IR1000B does look nice.
Now I need to find a "shop" that will sell / ship it to the Netherlands.

I am using the Roku Soundbridge connected to my normal audio system (much better quality) the same device is sold branded as Pinnacle Soundbridge. http://www.roku.com/
They also have one speaker radio's and a very active community with extra software. I am able to control it from my laptop for example.
It gets a bit overshadowed by the increasing popularity of the slimdevices, recently bought by logitech. (www.logitech.com) they both also stream from a local server/computer , meaning you place them anywhere in the house and can play radio and you music collection.
There are also very regular software updates and improvements for both.
Both are available in the Netherlands too.

Hi wifi,

Have a look at the conrad.nl site in the category
Home => Foto, Video, Audio, MP3 => Radio's => Internet-, WLAN- radio's
You'll find a DNT IPDIO radio that might look surprisingly familiar... (Conrad product.nr 342535 - 89)
And other choices as well.

It looks remarkably like an Asus AIR (black):

I'm also in the market for an internet radio, but I'm still in doubt on what to do. I like the Terratec Noxon too and I'm sure there are a lot of clones with similar looks out there, but personally I think 130 Euro and up is a bit steep for a device of 15 Euro worth of hardware running Linux: For the same 130 Euro worth of hardware, I could get myself an Intel Atom board with 2GiB of RAM, a 8GiB DOM, a power supply and a nice box to put it in. Not that I want all of that on my desk, but it defines how expensive these radios are.

I have also considered the Logitech Squeezebox Duet, but for those kind of systems I like the Sonos sound system better (talking about expensive) because it can play the same music over multiple stations without noticeable lag.

Okay..

I got myself a 2nd hand SoundBridge (http://www.roku.com/products_soundbridge_internet.php)
What a great little toy.. Really easy to setup, and it's working as it should be :-)

I wanted to buy it new, but as Pinnacle stopped making it, and as I really wanted this model I got one 2nd hand.

Thank you for the tip Bastiaan. I'm now also a proud owner of a SoundBridge :-)

I'm also using the soundbridge. There's a Homeseer plugin available. I can control my devices and events with the soundbridge remote, and control the soundbridge trough homeseer. Very nice player indeed. More info on the homeseer plugin here: http://board.homeseer.com/forumdisplay.php?f=867
