Hi All

My project concept is to read boiler flow Setpoint temperature from a Nest Thermostat via Opentherm Gateway into Home Assistant

Then within Home Assistant I would like to process that signal (boiler flow Setpoint temperature) making some adjustments based on other parameters and then pass this to my boiler using an eBus shield https://www.elecrow.com/ebus-adapter-shield-c6.html

Is this feasible? Any potential flaws in my plan? Can I even use the Opentherm Gateway as a slave to read messages from there Nest Thermostat?

Any pointers or guidance greatly appreciated!

As far as I know, there is currently no firmware for the OTGW that can simulate a boiler by itself.

You can install the interface firmware, which will report the messages it receives from the thermostat. You then need to tell it the response it has to send back. So you will have to add some external intelligence.
