I just received my visonic slave receiver, inserted it in j2 started the rx program selected visonic mode. It is not reporting an acknowledge. Slave in raw mode, again no acknowledge. Get receiver version only reports 4d09 version master=09.

What am i doing wrong?

Edit 12:48 Slave was still set at 4800 Baud, master was set to 38400. Removed slave togge baudrate, and now the response is Master=09 Slave=86

That about that, when I enter Visonic mode (0xF040) I get no ACK. However it seems the Master receiver is offline, because a get receiver version (0xF020) now only returns 0x5386. Cannot do any further testing, ETA Visonic after the weekend.

Willem,

This is all correct. The receivers must be both running at the same baudrate. You can run them perfectly on 4800bd because no RF data will be lost even on this speed.

When the receivers are set to Visonic mode then the X10 receiver is stopped because with this cmd you asked the receivers to xmit only Visonic data.

The best option is: Initialize the receiver to variable length mode (0xF02C) and both receivers will be active. The Visonic receiver will translate all received RF data to X10 sensor format. This keeps it simple for the software on the PC.

There is also a setting "Visonic+Variable length mode" possible. In this mode you will receive X10 and untranslated Visonic data.
