Hi guys, i have finally created my CHEAP camera security system:
GOAL : automatic camera detection of triggering people movements
MATERIALS:
- fixed IR camera
- X10 ninja base , where i mounted fixed cam
- Homeseer
- Blade Ninja plugin
-MS13 ir detector
HOW TO:
1) MS13 detects a movement
2) ms 13 triggers an EVENT Homeseer
3) event consists of "move ninja" to a presetted position (towards the triggering ms13)
4) fix for xx seconds
5) move to original position

RESULTS: a pan/tilt camera , ir night security with autotracking is better but it costs 1200-1500 euros! . Ican simulate an autotracking because ninja can be issued by many MS13 to watch towards them at each activation. I spent
. ir fixed sony chip 120 euro
. ninja base 50 euros
. ninja blade plugin 10 dollars
. cm19e usb to send ninja commands 50 euros

For further cams (maximum 4 ) i have only to spend (120 + 50)=680 euros, instead of 1200*4 = 4800 !!

I live in a forest, its plenty of wild animals (not aggressive) and birds. but i beware of humans....... when you 're alone , must trust on your rifle , doberman and .......pc!

Hi Pieter , i'll take some pictures of devices and software. this is a short recording of a triggering by homeseer.
quality is low , i see it at pal resolution (tv quality!)

Looks good and covering the area including the driveway.
