I understand that te Rfxcom transmitter can send signals to the Harrison curtains, "open", "close".
But does this work with my harmony 1000 with rf-extender? Or do I need the unit plugged in to my computer all the time?
Does the rfxcom transmitter have a memory for instructions like: close the curtains one hour after sun down? Or do I need an extra unit for this kind of commando's. If yes, wat kind of unit?
I want to this sure before I buy this combination.

The RFXCOM transmitter must be connected to Home Automation software.

So it isn't possible to close the curtains with my Harmony remote control?
I believe the harmony 1000 sends RF-signals too. Isn't it possible to "transform"it into Harrison-format?

And how do you "reach" the WLAN-transmitter?
I know a lot of questions but this side of domotica is pretty new to me.

I don't have the knowledge of Harmony remotes so can't answer that question.
The transmitter must be controlled by a PC and doesn't matter if the transmitter is connected using USB, LAN or WLAN.
The PC is necessary because the transmitter is a device that needs commands (open/close curtain with address x or lamp module 1 on/off)
There is no intelligence in the transmitter.
Advised configuration:
Low power PC
xPL if you have programming skills, otherwise Homeseer + RFXCOM plug-in.
RFXCOM receiver + transmitter (2xUSB or 2 COM port LAN or WLAN)
