Harrison curtains RFXCOM settings and testing

Since the struggle I have with controlling the curtains in HS I move the topic in this thread because it seems mainly a RFXCOM item.

Setup:
I have the combined ethernet RFXCOM with two recievers and one transmitter.

My Harrison curtains have the new style programming system:
Put the switch on the motor in the middle position, send the stop command with the remote and it stops clicking and is set to that code.

My AB has the following DIPswitch setttings:
OFF-ON-ON-OFF-ON-OFF-OFF-OFF

Which should match A9 accoording to the RFXCOM manual.

Using the RFXCOM transmitter program for testing I do:

Connect via Commport 7 or via ethernet IP (no difference)
Reset using "Get transmitter version AND....")
This returns:
Version request to transmitter => F030F030
RF Modes are reset to: X10 enabled and all other modes are disabled.
Transmitter Firmware Version: 10

So the transmitter works.

Next I choose the Harrison button:
Init cmd to transmitter => F034F034
ACK=> 34

Then move to the Harrison tab, select the same switch settings as the ones in my remote and press CLOSE:

3CC0F380
ACK=> 34

No movement in the curtains...

I have also tried to 'program' the unit using RFXCOM by selecting the middle position on the motor -> clicking sound -> then press STOP on the RFXCOM software. No reaction. HAd to use the original remote to program.

THe unit is standing about 4 meters away from the transmitter.

What/How to test further?

Hi Bastiaan,

Try moving the RFXCOM LAN interface closer to the curtain motor/receiver (within 10 cm, if possible).

I have 10 Harrison curtain rails (old version) of which 2 are also very unresponsive. See also http://www.domoticaforum.eu/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1152. I removed all electronics from one of these and extended the DC cable between the motor and the receiver, so I could try it within a short range from the RFXCOM interface, one floor down (I didn't want to run a UTP cable through the floor). The receiver for this rail is only responsive within a 20 - 60 cm. range of the RFXCOM transmitter. After contacting Harrison, they send me some additional curtain receivers to test with. Still have to do this, though.

Ok I moved two rails next to the receiver/tranmitter but no changes.
The only wierd thing seems that now and then, a command seems to trigger something. May be one in a hundred times it suddenly opens the curtains but I can't repeat or do it again.
Like when a packet is not received properly it suddenly hits the right code by accident.

Just checked the remotes: they work from over 10 meters so the recievers of the curtains seem fine.

The Harrison motor I have here is a Neta12. There is no version indicated on the motor but I had to change the protocol timing so I think the latest version is a little bit different.
People having the problem that the Harrison curtain cannot be controlled by the RFXCOM transmitter and the Harrison keyfob works OK, can contact me for a transmitter firmware update.

Then it must be a new version, because I have the new Neta12 as well and this one (first edition) is working normal with the RFXCom transmitter.

Bert, has my Units. I have tranmitter v10 and it was a no go. I am glad it was solved so quickly.
Getting an update next week and everything should be working. Just on time before my travels.

Just to close this topic:
Bert did some research and modified the firmware on the RFXCOM transmitter. Now everything works perfect.
Thanks to Bert for the perfect service!
