Visonic: What frequency?

Hi all,

I am considering buying RFXCOM receivers for Visonic (and X10/Oregon).

But i'm still not quite sure about which Visonic receiver to choose (433/868 MHz).
What i really would like to know is, what is the preferred frequency for the Visonic receiver?
Both 433 and 868 MHZ are allowed in the EU, but which one should i choose?
What pro's and con's are there for both frequency's? What is 'mainstream' in our "business"?
Or am i missing something?

Are devices like a MCT-302 as easy to get in a 433 MHz version as in 868 MHz?
(And, of course, where to buy them!)

For what i have found and read, i believe that 868 MHz is a better choice, am i right?

A lot of questions, but still, they need to be answered before i can hit the "Order now"-button... ;-)

Regards,
Digit.

In fact only 868.95 is used in The Netherlands.
I have good experience with waakzaamwonen http://www.waakzaamwonen.nl/catalog/

Hi Digit,
Also Check Marktplaats, there are always a lot of Visonic 868MHz sensors for sale, even new!
I bought a lot of them for much better prices.

Bert, Pieter,

Thanks for your input.
I'm new to RF (well, in fact everything regarding Home Automation [:D], but you answered the last questions i had for not keep having the feeling to buy something that could end up being useless for their intended purpose...

Regards,
Robert.

BTW,
Did you know that kijkshop has Oregon Scientific as one of their 'merkenshops'? Didn't compare prices yet, though.
