Hi,

To view my webcams on TV I am looking for a Video Server, but now the other way around.

<b>Instead of</b>: Camera ---(video)---VideoServer---(IP)---PC
<b>I am looking for</b>: AnyWebcam---(IP)---DeviceX---(video)---TV

So I'm looking for a small, low power device that allows me to watch my webcam streams on TV.
Ideal: ability to use a remote to switch between cameras.

I'm currently using Axis 2401 Video servers to connect my Camera's.

Does this exist? Do you have it and if yes, is it useful?

I know chak has something to look at it via the t.v. but what i would want to see the most for instance is, when the door bell rings, that the t.v. will switch to that channel or whatever method so you can see it. That would be really sweet.

I know there are certain devices that can put the signal of video on your current tv-cable, assuming you dont have digital t.v. cabinets.

I Don't have that option any more.
At the moment using the Pronto and my touch screen to watch video streams.

Some time ago I bought a Draadloos zendsysteem from Medion. (got it from Aldi)
As test I added the transmitter to the cam that was also connected to my AXIS 241Q (I used a BNC T connector).
The receiver I connected to my TV (Scart), and I was able to see the video feed on TV, and thru my AXIS 241Q stream.

Maybe this is also a working option for you?

That was what I was doing..
After lot of problems I stopped using that..
It will interfere with all devices that work on 2.4 Ghz Like Wifi, plugwise

I'm currently looking at my Popcorn Hour media player to see if that can play the stream.
The wireless video senders never worked in my home (have 4 Access Points)

Another option is to push the last image to my IP phones.
If I run into a nice solution I'll post it here.

My settings: cams connected to ip-dvr , dvr has 2 video-outs : one streams all cameras together , the other streams camera by camera every x seconds. These 2 video-outs are connected to a marmitek video selector (4 video in , 1 out) the video-out is connected to a marmitek megavideo-55. this one creates an "internal tv-channel" like a normal tv channel that streams the source (video selector) to every tvs in the home trough the aerial antenna

That actually might be a very good idea. Never thought of putting the actual video signal onto my cable network. I already have such a solution (which I use to 'extend' my mediaplayer to the bedroom TV)

A combination of video server and client is under development and will be available in a approximately a year.
