Hi Ian,

Yeah, i do.
I know there has been an article in a dutch magazine a few years ago, named "Elektuur". It contained a schema to put between your heating and thermostat. It's written in dutch, but maybe it can be of use to you.
I think i have this article somewhere, give me some time to find it.

Regards,
Digit.

Opentherm Monitor

Post by gason »

hello guys,

i hope some one can help me with my problem.
my heting solution is Elko Klöckner + Siemens QAA73 controller.
both devices communicate over open therm plus.
my questions are:
- are open therm and plus compatible?
- can i use the open therm interface suggested by Bwired in this tread for read /write the settings? which software can be used here? possible to buy an ready to use interface? -> http://www.domoticaforum.eu/topic.asp?T ... =opentherm
- is it possible to replace the original QAA73 controller (this work very well but no PC connection possible) whit other one who can be connected to PC or X-10 (not implemented yet) directly for read/write and visualisaton on the server?

Thank you in advance for suggestion.

Hi Gason,
As you have figured out yet, we all are struggling with the opentherm interface. Nobody on this forum has a fully interface running yet. You can try to make the elektor opentherm interface mentioned in this topic and you have to write the software/driver yourself. Haven't seen software for this schematic yet. For your other questions I have no answer, we don't know the Elko Klockner in the Netherlands :-). I'm still working on my opentherm interface with help of the official Nefit servicekey bleutooth device. But since a couple of day's I'm not sure anymore if this key is working with a opentherm interface, could be a complet other interface while my room controller (thermostat) is working with opentherm for sure!
