Hi all,
First time poster from a x10 newbie.
I have the above alarm panel and a marmitek xm10 cmos controller and a lm15 lamp bayonet module.
I have a straight through 4 way rj11 and see the led's on the xm10 blinking, but Im lost as to what settings I need to get my lm15 to switch on and off?
I have set the house code to B, i take it that I then just set the lm15 as device 1.
How can i change the lm15's default a2 code?
I am trying to use the aux button on the visonic's keyfob to switch on and off the lm15, im also selecting toggle but to no avail.
Whats Pulse rate?
Im a little lost and an help would be much appreciated.
Thanks and regards
Paul

Hi,
Im a little disapointed that 45 people have looked at my previous question and nobody answered???
Anyways I traced my problem down to a faulty RJ11 cable and now all is well, I do however have another question,
How can I reprogram the standard A2 address on my marmitek lm15 lamp module?
As before any help would be much appreciated for this x10 newbie!

Sorry to see no one came back with answers. Please find below how to re/program the LM15 module:
Compared to most X-10 Modules the LM15 does not have code wheels. The code can be set up by using any X-10 Controller. Because the LM15 will remember the installed Code even after a power loss, the LM15 can be set up before it will be installed at its final location (for instance an outside lamp).
1. Remove your light bulb from its socket and insert the LM15 into the light socket.
2. Insert a light bulb (100W max. open shade, 60W max. closed shade) into the LM15.
3. Set a Marmitek X-10 Controller (f.e. EasyControl8 or IRRF7243) to the required House
and Unit Code.
4. Turn the power off and wait a few seconds.
5. Turn the power back on again.
6. You now can give a new code for the Lamp Socket within 30 seconds. Press the ON
button (corresponding to the Unit Code you want the LM15 to respond to) on the X-10
Controller, 3 times, at about 1 seconds intervals. On the third press the lamp will turn on
signifying that the code has been learned. NOTE: To set the code from an IRRF7243 Mini
Controller press the Unit Code button 3 times.

Kris

Very welcome paul. Glad to see you got the microbe as well. Let me know if you need some other information. I have about two months left to complete my project (which is part of my final year university), so I could use some cool idea's. How did you manage the sms input interface? do you have a security x10 setup or something.

Hi again Kris,
In answer to your question, I have a gsm unit connected to my powermax+ panel and can sms that with the relevant x10 address and switch appliances and light etc on and off!
Its great fun as I also have an axis 207w ip camera at home so I can actually see the lights going on and off over the web!
Thanks again
Paul
