Hmm a nice burning smell and my alarm sensors are not switching on the lights!
I've read a lot about the realiabilty of the above module.
Is it just that one, or are all x10 controllers this useless.
Ive only had this unit 10 days!!!! and its already dead.
I was looking to move to a pc based system anyway but will that controller be just as unrealiable????

Hey Paul,
I don't realy know the XM10, but I'm using a CM11 USB interface which performs very well.

I've had the i/f now for about a year and never a glitch.

Hi Paul,
You are mixing up the controllers. The XM10 is as far as I know the only interface which can be combined with the Visonic Powermax alarm console to put commands on the powerline. I think that is what Paul is referring to.

Oups, I'm really late, but here are some alternative to the XM10 TTL interface :
The Smarthome Powerlinc 1132B which could act as a XM10 or a ASCII interface (with it's own set of command). This interface could be adapted from 110V to 220V without trouble (take care that cable wiring should be adapted too).
The XTBII signal booster which provide the TTL interface (like XM10) and deliver additional functionality by boosting your X10 signals.
Hope it helps
