Gefen HDMI Detective Plus

I have a HTPC with a HDMI output configured as primary monitor and a vga output configured as secondary monitor.
The HDMI output is connected to a DENON 3808 amplifier & samsung tv.

If you switch on the PC first and the denon & tv second,
then the PC will disable the HDMI output and make the vga output the primary monitor or sometimes it will choose a resolution that the samsung tv can't display...
I now added this device :

This device 'learns' the EDID code from your tv.
And it keeps transmitting it to the pc permanently, even if the tv is powered off...
now, the power-on order is irrelevant.
It's not cheap, though. (EUR 160,- from official dealer in Holland)
