Language Rules on the forum

Post by Bwired »

Hi All,
More and more people are posting topics in Dutch while it should be English. There are some forums which are typically Dutch and is mentioned there that it's allowed (like Te Koop etc.) Also if it's referring to a Dutch website or a Dutch link, Dutch is allowed.
Otherwise please respect the rules and the other non Dutch members.
From now on we will delete reply and topics that are breaking these rules.

Hope you understand, thank you.
Thanks Pieter

Pieter, I find it sometimes very confusing when to write in Dutch and when to write in English. So why not write everything in English? For instance, the various Homeseer plugin topics were created using Dutch, it even mentions this in the topic title, but these topics contain very useful information for our international members also.

Rene.

Rene,

The official Homeseer forum is in English and there is no need to duplicate that forum. I found that there are a few Dutch people having problems with English and that was the main reason to add this Dutch Homeseer forum.

What Bert is telling was the intention. It's not a problem when sometimes a mistake is made in the language, make that mistake myself :-)
But lately I see more members starting topics in Dutch.

All Homeseer forums are Dutch
"Domotica voor beginners" is Dutch
"Groepsinkopen en Ideeen" is Dutch
"Domoticaboek Heino Peters" is Dutch :-)
"For Sale / Te Koop" can be both

All other are English.

is it possible to mark all dutch forums with a dutch flag? (clearly visible off course) or maybe an orange background or font type.
I get confused too like Rene.

Is possible, but I listed the forums above and they are all marked with (DUTCH Forum):
